He heartily commended 'town-planning, though he pointed out difficulties arising from a tickle development of towns manifested by I'-.ush-ions in preferred 'kit-alitios. (He praised tlie general ideal of making towns ibeautil'ul throughout 'New Zealand, and referred to Arbor 'Day, saying tree .planting wan hiylily desiralble. scenicaUy ami necessitous!v. Such iwork was otic of his hobbies." The delegates will be entertained at luncheon to-day by the Wellington City Council. a\ud at afternoon tea by the (invemor lit Government House. The Wellington Racing Clwb has invited the delegates to attend the races to-morrow. There is a very heavy order paper, including about 150 remits.
