MAN SERIOUSLY' INJURED. ', Falling from a distance of thirty feet down No. 3 hatch of the Makarini' this morning, Ernest Austin, an engineer aboard the vessel sustained serious injuries, and he now lies in the hospital in a precarious condition. At the time ot going to press he was still in an unconscious condition, with a badly-frac-tirrcd arm, several injuries to the fac\ and, it is believed, mortal internal wounds. How the man came to meet with the accident is still unexplained as no one 'was a witness of the affair. The man was discovered by one of the waterside workers this morning, who was assisting in unloading freight from the hatch.
