REAIITS FROM CAXTERBURY. (By Telegraph Press Association.) CHRISTCHT.T.CH. Wednesday. The following remit.- were passed to-day by the general committee of the Canterbury \. arlc j p Association, for submission to the Agricultural Conference : — That the question of registration of stallions, as provided in the . tallions Bill of last year, be discussed: that the present system of grain grading is still unsatisfactory, and that the Government- be recommended to hold an inquiry: that it is desirable to set up a t.overnment commission, comprised of landowners, departmental officers, and scientists to inquire int.o the ares, and locality of lands affected with weeds, noxious nr otherwise, and the amount "f damagp that was done, and the methods by which weeds might be dealt with: that the Government be recommended to make better provision for storinj grain and produce at. country stations: that the council views with apprehension ihe material decrease in the number of light h-orsos i, rPf . which are suitable for troop _or.f. -, ihtit the conference urg-os on the C.overnTnent the necessity of giving better provision for agricultural education; and that better railway facilities be provided to exhibitors to take stock to and from shows.
