The monthly meeting of the Waitemata Couii-ry Council was en.__.uued yesterday afternoon after the ".star" went lo press. Air T". five presMing, TAKAPUNA AFFAIRS. A letter was received from the Takapuna Borough Council declining i<» lucci. ihe County Council at a conference on tnc subject of accounts outstanding between the two bodies, an! fuither .ledining t*. specify its objections to the County .•ou.ii_il*- ola-iins. 'The letter -was •■received" without discussion. The Takapuna Council also wrote asking that a conference with the Uarl. uir Board be arranged reS___ng a road to Barry's Point. The E__ necr explained that the Council had agreed to forrm a road to the site of a proposed wharf some years ago. but had apr__reni:!y forgotten ail abont it. and in the meanwhile the land had become part of Takapuna Borough. It was decided to axrungo for a comfercne... NARKOW ROAD. After some discussion, it was decided to permit Mr J. McKinley to put a new road ts.t wide through section ].-*. lot v.. Deep Creek, which he was suljditiding. OF-FETi. OF ROAD. ,T. T;. was ■ le.-ided to inform Bulog and Co. that the Council wonld take over Lhc land as soon as a title could be given. METAL SUPPLIES. Mr E. C. Beale -wrote offering the Council lirs: refusal of the right to quarry metal on a property of his at Waintauku.
