CRUSHED AT FRANKTOX JUNCTION' (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) FRANiKTON, this day. Jtvhn Shannon, a. "fireman, while engaged in siiirrrting, -was severely crushed between an engine and a coal bin a£ noou to-day. He died shortly a;fter 'the accident. Shannon ie a sing-Ie mail, aged about •2-2. His parents .reside in the Northern Wairoa.
