UNIONISM IN IRELAND.
CARDINAL LOGUE'S WARNING. SOCIALISM AND SYNDICALISM. (Times-Sydney Sun Special Cable.) LONDON, February 24. A pastoral letter addressed by Cardinal Logue (Archbishop of Armagh) to the Irish churches urges the workers to organise into real trade unions, but warns them against the dangers of syndicalism and socialism. A representative conciliation board is pointed to as the remedy for the present paralysis of employment, which, the pastoral states, was" altogether avoidable, and never would have occurred if Irishmen had had a strong and independent Union, Dot relying on the suport of English unionism. The Crown has released nine prisoners who were sentenced during the Dublin riots.
