STEAMER OVERDUE.
HORNFELS FROM AUCKLAND. ANXIETY AT NEWCASTLE. (Received 11.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Some anxiety is felt at Newcastle at the non-arrival of the Hornfels from Auckland. Attempts to get into wireless communication with her have proved unavailing. The tramp steamer Hornfels arrived at Auckland on January 22 with 6,000 tons of South African coal from Durban. The vessel sailed on February 3 for Newcastle.
