EXPELLED FROM TURKEY.
(Received 9.50 a-m.) j CONSTANTINOPLE, February 8. The police, without consulting the Austro-Hungarian Consulate, expelled M. Kienast. correspondent of the '"Neve Frei Presse," for sending certain telegrams. When the steamer arrived at Smyrna Kienast was liberated owing to a strong Austrian protest. Kienast returns to Constantinople. The incident has created a. bad impression in view of the Porte's recent assurances that it would prevent infraction of treaties by the police.
