SIXTY-TWO PRINTERS SEIZED. MEETING WITHOUT A PERMIT. (received 10 a.m.) JOHANNESBURG, January 16. The police raided the Labour party's headquarters, where a meeting of delegates to the Typographical Union was beins held. It is believed the meeting decided to return to work. The business ; was just finished when the poiice ap- j peared. and arrested all the delegates, numbering sixty-two, for a contravention of the martial law regulations, for holding a meeting without the permission of the authorities. The Mayor, of Pretoria was among the twenty arrested at the strike headquarters. He .was released on his own recognisances.
