FOUND DROWNED.
The-dead body of an. old man. about ' 70 years of age, was. found in the Manukaa Harbour this morning near ■the Onehixnga, wharf, by a man najned John Wilson, who reported the find to the police. Constables Courtney and Thompson removed the body to the Mamikau Hotel, and an inquest will be held this afiCern-oon before Mr I). A. Sutherland. The .body is believed to be thai of John Good-win, an inmate of the Costley Home. Art inquest was held to-day by the I coroner (Mr. D. A. Sutherland Evi- ! dence was given by Donald McLeod, i attendant at the Costley Home, who identified the body as that of an inmate : named John Goodwin, who has been missing since last Wednesday. Deceased was 75 years of age. After hearing the evidence of Dr. Tresidder and Constable Courtney, the coroner returned a verdict of "Found drowned."
