I j (By Telegraph.—Press AssociaSon.) , DUN~EOTN, Friday. j The Royal Art HI err Baud, which has been engaged to play at the Ancldand Exhibition, arrived by the Tnrakina at Port Chalmers this morning in glorious weather, {riving visitors a .splendid first impression of S'etc Zealand. Their landing was wau-.hpd -with -much interest by large crowds, but was unmarked by any incident except that the ibaggage had to be handled 'by ships' crews on account of the strike. An informal -welcome to Port. Chalmers was given by the Mayor (Mr. Ma-yson) and the Toint Clerk (Mr. Fraser). Mr. W. TL Holmes (secretary of the Anckland Exlubitioii) met the commarr-dtng officer,? on iieha.lf of his executive. Tjhfi band •was ■entertained tonight by the. baud of the -Fourth 'Regiment at a smoke concert, at which th« principal officers of the Ihrnedin Defence Forces ■were present. The band wBl giv<> concerts here to-morrow and on Sunday, and wiH leave lor tie- (North on Monday morning.
