ARBITRATION COURT AWARDS.

The Arbitration Court has given at award for the drapers' assistants on similar terms to the Wellington award of Inst year, with the usual preference rlausp. and the following addition: ,4 ia considering the qualification of a member offered to replace a non-member, an emplovcr is entitled to take into account such matters as personal appearance manners, and general suitability for the work he is required to do." The growers assistants' award was given on lines recommended by the Conciliation Court. GeneraJ labourers were granted 1/2 aa hour, the employers assenting.
