GRAND OPERA SEASON ABANDONED.
In consequence of the eotitinuation of the strike, the Auckland season of the Quinlan Grand Opera Company has been abandoned. The company will probably extend their Sydney dates, and go straight through to Vancouver by the steamer which calls at this port on December 20. The cancelling of the Auckland season will be a great disappointment to musical people, more particularly so as iir. Quinlan would probably have been induced by the support accorded to iiis venture lo do ;i full New Zealand tour next year. The management, by advertisement, thank all those who have applied r„r subscribers' tickets, and announce- t] la t i moneys will be returned to them on application to Mr. Stewart, at the office of Ills Majesty's Theatre.
