MURDER NO EXCUSE.
ACter murdering a compatriot, an Italian fled, followed by a plain clothes policeman named Dubs, who took a train to Zurich, expecting to lay hands on the fugitive there. During a temporary halt at Glattbrugg, M. Dubs saw the Italian at a window of a train going in the opposite direction. . He made-a rusii to arrest the man, but was forced to return to the carriage by railway officials, who. despite the production of his credentials, refused to allow him to descend. Meanwhile, the other train .steamed out of the station, bearing the Italian to. the frontier.
The railway officials state that the rule* strictly forbid leaving tbe train at this point, and tbat the attempt to contravene the rules "by a guardian of the peace was much to be deplored."
