QUARRYMAN INJURED.

A man named Alexander Johnston, aged about 45 years, was injured at about 10 o'clodc -i-nia morning whilst engaged in quarrying operatjona at Mount Eden. Johnston was working at the face of the quarry, removing the earth below some large boulders, when one of ttre stones came away, and struck him, breaking one of his legs above the knee, and inflicting some other minor injuries. First aid was rendered the injured man, and he was removed to the hospital, where he is now making as good progress as can be expected.
