Reports still continue to come to hand concerning satisfactory "bags" of docks being made by sportsmen. It had been predicted that owing to the dry weather prior to the opening of the seaeon that the Piako would not prove a, very profitable field for the hunters after game but the fact that a party ot'an sports! men have just returned from that vicinity with a bag of 208 ducks would seem to prove that there wis no ground for the belief.
