A BUSY FORTNIGHT. DETAILS OF THE FIXTURES. Owing to the limited time the battleship stays in Auckland—she sails on the 10th oi May—it has been rather difficult to fit in all the hospitality that Aucklande— would like to offer their guests. The programme was gone through this morning on board the battleship by Captain Halsey with Mr B. M. Wilson, who is representing the Tourist Department, Mr J. Hislop, the Under Secretary for Internal Affairs, and Mr H. VV. Wilson, Town Clerk, and the engagements will be as follows: — Thursday, May Ist.—Citizens' ball to the officers in the Town Hall, at 9 p.m.; smoke concert by the Working Men's Club to the petty officers. On this day his -Excellency the Governor and Lady Liverpool are giving a garden party at Government House. Friday, May 2nd.—Lunch at noon to 250 men in the Town Hal!, with tram rides round the city and suburbs in the afternoon; Garrison Officers' Club smoke concert to the officers; visit to the battleship of the King's Empire Veterans, at 2.30 p.m. ■Saturday, May 3rd.—Yacht race to Kawau, and wallaby drive for the officers; Amateur Athletic Club's sports in the Domain during the afternoon for the men. Sunday, May 4th.—A party of 100 men and 10 officers leave for Rotorua, returning on Tuesday afternoon. Monday, May sth.—"Children's Day," the ship being open to children only; Northern Club's conversazione to his Excellency the Governor; Diedertafel concert on board the battleship. Tuesday, May Oth.—ln honour of Accession Day the ship will be dressed, and a salute fired at noon. Xo visitors will be allowed on board between 11.45 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. At 9 a.m. 250 bluejackets will leave the ship with the ship's band and the field guns, and march from the wharf at 9.30 for Victoria Park, by way of Queen Street and WellesleV Street. ' At the Park the men will be formed in line, advance in review order, salute the colours, then pile arms, and Gtand easy for a short while, retiirnin" to the ship by way of Victoria Street and Queen Street. Wednesday, May 7th.—Second trip to Rotorua: 100 men leaving for Rotorua, spending Thursday there, and returning on the 9th. - Thursday, May Sth.—Mr N. A. Nathan's picnic for the officers to the Ostrich Farm at* Pukekohe; Mr A. M. Myers' dance to the officers.
