UNITED CLUB.'

At the annual general meeting of the above Club, the report and - - balance-sheet showed the Club to be In a sound financial position. The senior team occupied third position in first-grade matches, and three members (Messrs. Barry, Porter, and Hallam) obtained representative honours. Tho trophies for the past season were presented. Fourteen new members were elected. Officers for the coming season were elected as follow:—Vice-presidents. Messrs. W O. Garland, Geo. Court, jun., J. yon Stunner, and F. S. ShirrltTs; club captain, R. W. Barry; hon. secretary and treasurer, G. Garland; committee. Messrs. Taylor, Ilallam, Glover, Woods, King, and Gilfllian; auditor, J. King; delegates to Auckland Hockey Association, F. B. Taylor and R. W. Barry; selection committee, Messrs. F. B. Taylor, -club captata, and captains of junior teams; hon. ' members: Messrs. H. Willis and W. R. Bloomfield; life member, T. B. Howarth. The vote of life membership was ipassed with acclamation, and a vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. Howarth for his services to the Club. } CLUB PKACTIOES. All members and Intending members of the United Club are requested to attend a practice at Remuera on Saturday. The North Shore Hockey Club will practise at the Devonport Domain on Saturday next. All members are urged to attend, as the scven-a-side tournament has been arranged for the following Saturday. A practice match of the Walhora Ladles' Club Is arranged with Onehunga Methodists at Remuera on Saturday, at 2 p.m. All menjbers are requested to attend. The University Club will practise at Remuera to-morrow afternoon, at halt-past two o'clock. St. James' will be represented against Hobsonvllle to-tuorrow by F. ,T. Baildon, C. Burns, W. S. Good, J. Steele. D. Taylor, D. D Holland, A. Williams O. A. Darby, A. Satchell, H. Leplne, W. Baildon. A launch will leave the man-o'-war steps at 1.30 p.m.
