SOWING. NORTH SHORE ROWING CLUB. CLOSING DAY OF SEASON. 11l closiug the rowing season the North Shore Rowing Club has provided a consolation pair oar race for members who have not won a club trophy this season, and a pair oar race for tbe members who were selected to compete iv the Rotorua regatta last Easter Monday. Trophies have been generously presented by Dr. Atkinson for the Consolation Race, and Mr R. A. Spinley ithe club's secretary) for the Rotorua Regatta Rowers' Race. The trials will be held to-morrow on the No. 1 course (weather pcrmlttinsr). the alternative being the No. 2 course (Cheltenham Beach). The first race will be rowed at 2 o'clock, so that members arc requested to be ready in time to go to the post in the positions allotted. The following crews will compete In the Consolation Trials:—S. Weston (stroke) and .1. Ba.kerrille (bow): A. Stephenson and J. Claydon; D. Law and B. Emcrall; B. Rutled ,c and H. Jenkins: 6. KesscU and W. Chile, it; F. Best and F. Smith; A. Haddou and _,»<_ Spinley; E. I'lynn and (i. Dawson. The following are the crews In the Regatta Rotfcrs' Race:—W. Mcllwraitb (stroke) and E. Harvey (bow); E. Bowley and G. Kess.ll; F. Bennett and .1. Tilton; S. Bennett and R. Harvey; A. Stephenson and J. Paul: C. Fowler and K. Wallace; E. Gilmour and B. Rutledge; P. Stephenson and G. Bailey.
