The adjourned monthly meeting of the -Northcote Borough Council was held last tnight . Noxious .Weeds. —It was decided to con- ____ the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Council, that goree be declared a noxious weed within, the borough. , Sanitary Contract—-The agreement relating to the' terms of the sanitary contract __tt_red _nto"by W. __. "" Ne?__Boa__.—rThe-conditions regarding the .Council taking over new roads in the __>rough was _rougjht up by Cr. J. T. F___nHey, who moved the following resolution, {which -_-as seconded by Cr. Arch. Campbell, *___ adopted: "Formation to be 66ft wide, ■centre of roadway to be composed of Sin. -land-packed spawls lift wide, covered with ■6_i dean scoria, .blinded- with- either -shell or scoria 3 inches deep; the road to be ___>ro_ghry rolled once before blinding and _____ after, with the Council's or other ap-iP-Oved roller, at the expense of the owner «_ _he road; footpaths on each, side of the _-__ to be formed 12ft wide, -with a faU lof 6 inches from the boon dory to the water jchannel, and to 'be covered with 3 inches tof fine scoria or shell; water channels to tie 9 inches deep; grade of road to be not less than Ift in 14ft at a grade to be approved by the Council; formation to be carried to all intersecting roads, and footpaths to be retm-ned with a carve to all intersecting footpaths; where fining necessary, batter to foe at least l_ft to Ift; all cesspits;- gratings, and- drains to carry -effi- water "to be placed where _ec_ss__y."
