B.IVAI. SYSTEM'S SCHEME. TO PREVENT. "RATIFICATION. (Received 8.15 a.m.) ' LONDON, April 14. At the Marconi Inquiry Committee's sitting Mr. Godfrey. Isaacs gave evidence that he heard through Mr. Hawkins, stockbroker, and others that Major Archer Shee and Major Norton Griffiths were associated with the Poulsen syndicate in endeavouring to prevent the ratification of, the Marconi contract. Major Archer Shee telegraphed to the committee denying that he had financial interests in any wireless concern. Major Norton Griffiths denies that he was ever interested in the Poulsen system or spread rumours about Ministers or the contract". The whole story was a pure invention. ' ~ ' .
