The Court of Appeal sat thte afternoon to hear an application by the Auckland Dcetrict Law Society to make absolute a rule nisi striking Henry Edward Elliott, of Opotiki, off the rolls. Tbe grounds of the application were that Elliott 'had misappropriated trnet fonds and had aleo committed perjury in & judicial proceeding. Mr J. E. Eeed, K.C., with him Mr W. P. Endean, appeared for the ■ society, and Mr A. \V. Blair (Wellington) represented Elliott. TJhe Court ordered ElKofet to be struck o? the rolls. *A majority of the Court were if opinion that Elliott should be allowed to apply for readmission after three years. Costs amounting to £15 15/ were allowed to the Auckland Law Society.
