"THE BLUE BIRD." "The Blue Bird" was again produced at His Alajesty's Theatre last evening, and was frequently applauded throughout by a very large audience. Tbe piece will be staged, for only four more nights, and then the season will be brought to a close. "THE BUTTERFLIES." The Town Hall Concert Chamber was well filled last 'night, when "The Butterflies" repeated their bright and entertaining programme to the delight of all present. The company will appear again this evening. WALTER _RB V RECITALS. Mr Walter Kirby has decided to give a recital in Auckland, prior to returning to fulfil engagements in London. The recital, will be given in the Town Hall on Monday, April 14, and Ancktonders will have an opportunity of —earing Mr Kirkby in a programme consisting of national ballads, oratorio, and grand opera excerpts, versatility being one of Mr Kirby's greatest assets. Mr Kirby bas been a great deal of bis career on. the Continent, and his thorough knowledge of languages has been a great factor in the success which has attended his recitals both in England and in -Europe. It Is 'interesting *o know that an. Auckland vocalist has had the honour of being commanded to sing before no less than seven reigning monarchs of Europe. OPERA HOUSE. The- new arrivals at the Opera House include tbe Crimson Ramblers, who proviaed the Bret purr, of the programme last night. They are seven, in number, and their ueout was made in niosc favourable eircu—iatances. They are decidedly clever, and provided a origin hour's entertainment, which delighted the crowded attendance, jeney opened wicb a eateny cnorus, entitled "Cneero!" which immediately placed tneni on good terms with their listeners. -The comedian ot the company is Mr. Albert, —letsoe, who was very entertaining In "The Music Hall Shakespeare," for which, he was endmsiasticaily recalled. A very talented little lady is Miss -illie Wilson, who has a pleasing voice and sings daintily. She was aecoided much warm applause for the singing of "Have _©_ Ever Loved Any Other Little Girl?" and had to respond to a whole-hearted recall. Miss Bessie Cahill (soprano), Mr. Lou Vernon (comedian), Miss Aiaud —.letsoe (soubrette), Mr. Jack Vincent (baritone), the other performers, all contributed acceptable items. In the second part, Henry and May again made their appearance in a trick cycling turn. Their turn has the merit of being novel as well as clever. Ernest Titcher was a warm favourite, his comic songs and "patter" being genuinely humorous. Slav—l aud Thompson (duologists), Arthur Slavlu (eccentric comedian), Airhe and Campbell (song and dance artists), and Hall Ra—le (character comedian), were also very successful. The programme will be repeated to-night. WEST'S PICTURES. The weekly change of programme was made at the Royal Albert Hall lastnigntjf and attracted a very large number 0/ patrons. The feature film is a picture entitled "The Royal Divorce," a dramatic study of more tnaa usual merit, which jls intensely interesting.
