A FARMER IN TROUBLE.

A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Archibald Crawford, a farmer of Kamo, was held this afternoon, the Official Assignee (Mr. W. T. Fisher) presiding. Bankrupt's schedule showed that his total liabilities to unsecured creditors amounted to £882. His liabilities to secured creditors amounted to £1,197, but security (a farm at Waitoa) was estimated -as £413 in excess of this amount. With other assets in the shape of farm stock and plant, his total assets amounted to £681, leaving a nominal deficiency of £200.
