February 2. ■farmers are protesting against the Democratic Free List Bill, on the ground that ths inclusion of cereal?, meats, and other food stuffs will give Canadians more advantages than the defunct Reciprocity Bill. Dr." Woodrow Wilson (the Presidentelect I insists on the passage of the Underwood free list measure, defeated at the last session of Congress. Dr. Wilson says that Congress and the Democrats will break faith with the people if they take no steps to reduce the cost of living. Canadian Press comments indicate that Canada will thus jrain as many advantages as if the Reciprocity Bill had been passed, while giving nothing in return.
