COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS' CLUB.

The eleventh annual report of thp Auckland Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemen's Club, to be submitted at the general meeitinK this evening, stntes that the roll number at the enrl of the year comprised 370 association and 123 club members. Permission Is to be asked to remove the present restrictions relating: to club membership. A'.thoujrh the financial position of the Association is sound, the committee, feels that there is not that margin between income and e-cpendirure which a healthy Institution should maintain. The principle loss occurs in the luncheon account lot with the increase to 1/3 it was felt that more satisfactory results wonld be obtained durins the current year. The relief fund now stands at £634.

The estimated cost for the neeessarv alteration to make the new olub-rooms thoroughly up to date is £2,000. which will be provided by debentures, an* members are invited to contribute more largely towards that object than fhey have hitherto done. The purchase price of the new nro perty was f5.130. The benefit concert givr-n by commercial travellers In aid of the Whangarct Hospital resulted in the sunj ol £115 being subscribed

Mr G«orse is the only nomination for president for the ensnins year. Of the seven new commltteemen wanted Messrs j>; W. McLean. W. R. Gowdle ' and J Maßon are the only nominations from the warehousemen, but there will be an election for the four representatives required from the commercial travellers
