Owing to the wheat stackers' strike, I South Australian farmers are stacking their own grain. Tbe Egyptian railways are purchasing a hundred thousand tons of American coal instead of Cardiff coal. All efforts to refloat the French barque Chateaubriand, ashore on Truebridge Shoal, S.A_, have been unavailing. The session of the Victorian State Par- j liament has ended.
