MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH.
(To the Editors Sir, —I wish to express my disgust at the unfair way in which the Mount Eden Borough Council are acting in regard to loan money. The last two loans were raised on the understanding that one of the first jobs to be done was the forming to the full width of the road that dangerous death trap, Dominion Road bridge; instead of doing this, money has been spent everywhere else but there. Another injustice is iv regard to Norman Street. Last March the kerb stones were laid loosely in the street, and several children have been injured by falling on them; now, after forming George Street on one side and Charles Street on the other, Norman Street has been left, while Brentwood Avenue, a comparatively new street, has been done. Norman Street is one of the oldest streets in the district, and so has paid rates for a far longer period than Brentwood Avenue, and I claim in fairness it should have been attended to long ago.—l am, etc., "JUSTICE."
