CONSTABLE WADE.
PRESENTATION ON LEAVING WAIHI. (By Telegraph.—Press As-octattiw.) WAIHI, this day. Constable Wade, who was shot during the fighting at the Miners' Union Hall on the 12th November, left for Auckland this morning, en route to Whitford, where his parents reside. He will be examined when in Auckland by the police surgeon. Last evening ne was presented with a dressing-ease, travelling rug, and umbrella by Mr. Martin, on behalf of the members of the new union. The function took place at the residence of Mr. F. Mac Williams, of the Magistrate's Court.
