Messrs Samuel Vaile and Sons offered the K.nox Estate at West Tamaki by anction a few days since, but sold only two ont of eight sections. They now report having sold No. 12 for and sections Nos. 3, 7, and 8 for £7,500. Only two lots of 10J and 11* acres respectively remain unsold. The total sales so far amount to £10,353. There was a fair attendance at Messrs Samuel Vaile and Sons' land sale rooms yesterday, when the branch office of the Bank of New Zealand In Karangahape Road and several other properties were offered. The (bidding for the bank premises started at £4,000, and it was passed in at £4,500, but was sold afterwards in the room at a much higher figure The buyer proooses to torn the present building into shops.
