Those who 'have fallen on. life's Byways have had cause to remember that they have been provided Christmas cheer and blessing by pitiful hearts, sorrowful for those who have sinned and suffered. There will be ha-ppy fafnily gatherings, and in ehnrc&ea and -missions sweet voices will join in the angels' song of "Peace on earth and goodwill toward men," and down in the "D6or of Hope" there are tiiiy, helpless •babes, bereft of home, of fatheT, of place or name. There are girls and wotaen with aching hearts. For snefi we appeal, that just for one day in the yeaf they may have a glimpse into that heaven we are helping them to reach, and a foretaste of the good land where there will be no more hunger, neither sorrow , , nor crying, and where 6od ehall wipe aWay all tears.
