NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL
The adjourned monthly meeting of the Northcote Borough Council was held last Hedges.—Cγ. Campbell moved: "That notice be given to the owners of overhanging hedges and trees to cut them back to the boundary of the footpath." Referred to the Works Committee to report at next meeting. Urgent Work.—Cγ. Fearnley moved: "That the footpaths in the borough be tarred and sajaded diirinp the summer months as far as finances will allow, and that the foreman of works engage a staff of men to expedite the work us soon as possible, rhe Council to specify the streets requiring first attention." This was seconded by Cγ. n. H. Her,;, and earned. On the motion of Cγ. Greeuslsde, It was decided to tar and san-d (he western side of Queen Street \ from Il'rte! Road to Hall's Reach Road. It j v.-as also agreed to hare Bay View Road I Gss.—lt was resolved to ask the Birkenhead and NortUcote Gas Company for a substantial reduction in tbe price of gas to consumers, consistent with the progress of the u:strici. Dog Registrar.—Mr. J. Colfln was reappo.r.ted dog registrar. ===== !
