CONFERENCE WITH SHIPOWNERS. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The set of new claims made upon the Federation by the Marine Engineers Institute was discussed at a conference between the representatives of the two organisations to-day. The Institute is asking for increases of pay and general improvement of working conditions. After sitting all day the conference adjourned. No iuformation as to the progress made was given. I
