NEW SILVER FIELD.
BEST SINCE BROKEN HILL. (Received 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Large deposits of silver ore have been discovered in the Condobolin district. The field is described as the richest and most promising since Broken HilL Condobolin is on the Lachlan River, 3*28 miles west of Sydney. It is the centre of a rich pastoral and agricultural district, but though indications of gold have been found, mining has not been carried on in the district.
