M_P.. the Prime Minister being unI avoidably absent. 1 I The entries totalled 120S, compared with I [ 1168 last year. There is a remarkably fine j exhibition of cheese, and a good show of I bu-tter. and a splendid display has been I made by the Agricultural Department The prizes in the dairy, factory, cheese, and I butter classes were nearly all carried off by the Kaponga and Kaupokonnl factories. (Tie awards for the TaranaJd championships were:—Cheese: Kaponya Dairy Company \ (Roran branch 1 . 05. points; EaupakonuA, 95 points; -sg-iere. 0-1 points. Butter: Bell I Block, 05j polar?: Mangorei a_id MeJJs, each 95 points! 'Mangarama (Pahiatua) won the class for the best case of cheese for export, and I__vin that for the best boa: of export butter.
