DEMAND BY UNIONISTS. £By Telegraph.—Press Association.) C__l______C_, this ___. There is a possibility of trouble in. the local tramway service over what isknown as "the spare list." Under an existing rule it is possible for a man on the spare Est to come on duty at 8 ajn. and finish at 11.-15, having made only six and a-balf hours actual time .on duty. Feeling has been running bigb for some time past. A meeting of men held last night resolved that the Tramways Board be asked to prepare a roster providing a minimum of eight hours work or equivalent pay; and that,, failing a satisfactory roster being put into operation, traffic be suspended at 2 p_ai. on .June 24 while a mass meeting is held to discuss tbe situation.
