The market has been favourably affected by a shortage of Home supplies and a decline of 23 per rent of Imports during the year. The wtather continues favourable. Canterbury, Cd; other than Canterbury, 5Jd. Beef. —The market remains (inn, and a pood demand continues. Best quality is scarce. N.Z. hindquarters, 4jd; fores, 3jd. liutter. -The market la steady, with, improved demand. The decline has been checked, and, on the whole, prices are slightly better this week. Choicest N.Z. butter to-day. 111/: Danish 115/; Siberian, I(X>/; Argentina. 100/; Australian, 106/. Cheeses-There is a better demand, and the market is firmer. N.Z. -white, 70/ to 71/; coloured, 71/ to 72/. Hemp.—The market closed firmer, with more Inqnlry, and giK>d business has been done. N.Z. good fair [Trade, on spot. £22: N.Z. fair grade. £20 15/; forward shipment about the fame.
