Tie Londfin County Council is experimenting with the trackless tram car system, already adopted in Leeds and other provincial towns. The current is supplied from overhead rrires similar to the ordinary services, but the car is free to run over any portion of the road, and is able, within reasonable limits, to thread its way through the ordinary street traffic. The "trial prored successful, the cars running at as high a speed as 40 miles an tour.
