MR. WITHEFORD RETURNING.

HIS MISSIOX ACCOMPLISHED. IHTEBVxEWS WITH THE ADMIRALTY. SYDNEY. March 7. Mr. J. H. Witheford, ex-MP., of Auckarrived by the Moldavia, en route to New Zealand, after a seven years' absence in England. He is returning as the representative of one of the leading financial groups in London, which have 'arranged to provide nearly a million of capital for a New Zealand project, if Mr. Witheford is able to advise that satisfactory arrangements have been made in accordance with his instructions. Mr. Witheford states that during his stay in England he had interviews and other communications with the Admiralty, resulting in his receiving thanks for a certain action which he initiated in connection with British interests n the Pacific Mr. Witheford will sail for New Zealand on Monday.
