AUSTRALIAN RACING. SYDNEY TATTICRSALL'S MEETING. LOS ANGELOS WINS. (By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright.) SYDNEY, September 9. Sydney Tattersail's held their spring meeting to-day at Randwick. A deal of interest wan centred in the racing by reason of several New Zealand horses making tlieir debut under silk in Austialia. In the decision of the Chelmsford Stakes Los Angelos won distinction for Maoriland, and his victory was invested with a good dash of merit. The following are the details:—

At the distance Flavinius took charge, whila ' Los Angeles at that stage lignred in lifth position. The son of San Francisco dashed up with a magnificent run, and disposing of the-opposition, won by a short neck froi& Flavinius. Time, 1.53. In the Tramway Handicap the New Zea-land-bred iilly I'elrene (by Achilles—lilue "Water) tan. second to Grist (by Maltster— Egale). WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. The annual report of the Wellington Racing Club shows that the gross profits on the year's working amounts to £27711 2/3. The proiit shows a substantial increase over that of last year, and the city mortgages have been reduced by £2.500 during the period under review. Mr G. I). Greenwood has presented to the club £3OO to purchase a silver cup, to be given to the winner of the Champion Plate at the spring meeting of 1011. The stewards record their appreciation of Mr Greenwood's generous donation, and he has been elected a life member of the club.
