MEETINGS.

CHURCH CRICKET CLUBS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Churches' Cricket Association was lit'id on Thursday in the Y.M.C.A. social room. The president. (.Mr U. A. Buttle) occupied tne chair, ami the attendance was huge. The secretary's report went to snow lhat the past season had been a very satisfactory one, and the standard of cricket .high. The senior shield and cups were again won by the All Saints' cricket team. The senior B section caps went to the Wxcelsior team. Tlie junior section was again won by tne Devouport Presbyterian Ciub. The lolloping trophies were presented:—Senior batting, Air \\ r . l'omeroy t\V.Y.M.I.j;/ senior bowling, A.White (Y.M.C.A.); 15 senior batting, \v. Doughty (St. l'eter's); B senior bowling, S. Uartlett (Excelsior); junior batting and bowling, J. Howie tDevouport Presbyterian). The following oilicers were elected for ihe coming season:—Patron, Mr George l'owlds, if.P.; president, Mr K. L. Stewart; secretary, ilr O. McCowan; treasurer, Mr Jones; reporter, Mr C. li. Edmond, The financial side of the Association was reported to be very sound, the sum of £ l.'i being brought forward as a credit balance. Numerous teams were nominated, and everything points to a successful season. The next delegates' meeting is to be held on Thursday, i,September 2b.

ONEIIUNG A-MAXUR.AU CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. The annual meeting of the Onehuir.'ii Chamber of Commerce was held on Friday l n the Horough Council Chambers. There was a good attendance ot members, the annual report was read by the president (Mr John Howe), and adopted. Tlie fourth annual meeting of the Auckland Brotherhood was held ou the evening of the 7th in the 'Social llall, North-stieet, Newton. The report showed steady wotk done during the year, visitation having bee made to homes of members, also to ihe Hospital, Mental Hospital, and Gaol. The Evangelical Council of Australia will be pleased to accept the Rev. F. B. Meyer's services if opportunity serves. Y.M.C.A. BOYS' DEPARTMENT. * Oil Friday evening about 200 parents and boys assembled in the boys' rooms to witness the annual display given by the junior gymnasium class. The group has been under Mr Alpe, and judging by tho display given, much care and patience must have been shown by their instructor during tlie past season. Tho lifth division cup and medals, which wcto won by the Y.M.C.A. A team, were presented by Mr Philip (chairman of the A.F.A.), who remarked on the record gained by the team, viz., games 13, won 12, lost 0, drew 1, goals scored—for 60, against 5, championship points 23. The niagniiicent group banner, presented by Mrs Smith for annual competition, was exhibited during tlie evening. Mr Tait's conjuring feats ■wore applauded. Mr G. Adair (boys' workdirector) and Mr Macfarlane (general sec, retary) briefly spoke on tie great help the boys' department was to tho boys of tlio city.
