"The proposal in tho Budget respecting tho removal of duty from oil boring refinery plant is an important concession to the oil industry," declared Mr. Okey, and is just what has for somo time been sought. TUo Taranaki Company has found that the English easing which they havo been obliged 'to use, owing to the preference duty on foreign manufactured casing, is not as suitable as that xitilised before the imposition of the preferential duty. Tho removal of tho duty v/ill give a groat fillip to tho industry.
