Lamed, the American champion, defeated Dixon (England), 6—3, 2—6, 6 —3, 2 —6, 7 5. McLoughlin (California), beat Lowe (England), 7 —5, 6 —l, 4 —6, 4—6, 6 —3. These victories give tie-Americans-twq points.
