The Federation called a meoting of the Wallsend Lodge, at ■which a ballot ivaa taken on the question of miners doing wheeling. This they refused. A ballot of the whole members of the federation on the subject is now being taken. Should the result bo against the miners wheeling, the position will be extremely grave. The theatrical employers' dispute has teen settled. A strike of wheat handlers means that over a million bags stacked at country stations will now have to wait until j after the disposal of the wool traffic.
