ONEHUNGA ZOO.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I wish to state that what you had in the paper last night was wrong (14ft. from the boundary). Tiie nearest of the cages for big animals that I havii built i and which are now ready to receive the animals, is 45ft. from the boundary, and Dr. Makgill will not pass them. I may mention that I have no intention of selling the animals, and all of the trouble that has been caused has beeu through Dr. Makgill. I have never caused any nuisance at the Aramoho Zoo, nor have 1 had ady complaints, and there would not have been any nuisance here. Dr MakgUl wanted me to put the animals on concrete, and 1 told him that I could not do it. as it would be dangerous to the animals. I am quite willing Uo meet reasonable restrictions. If the Council is willing to issue the permit* for the eager already built, the animals will be sent up from Christchurch.—l am, etc., J. J. BOYD.
