HARE-BRAINED MURDER.
JOKERS ON DEFENCE SCHEME. (Received .0.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Stanford and Merthyr Miners' Lodge carried a resolution for consideration of the Miners' Federation, which, after condemning the exploitation of the workers by capitalists, emphatically pro tests against the hare-brained murder scheme of the Labour party, namely, compulsory service. It pledges the Federation to appose this brutal measure to the utmost, seeing that the workers and their children have nothing to Jefend, and the scheme is against troe principles of democracy.
