MOORISH PRETENDER'S OFFER. AVENGED BY SPAIN. MADRID, June 13. A report from Alcazar states that one of Spain's motives in occupying Larache was to avenge the murder of Hamid Ben Malek and his two sons, who wer3 Spanish proteges. The Pretender promised Hamid his mc if he would eat the flesh of his murdered children. Hamid refused and "svas instantly killed, his head being kicked about like a football.

j TANGIER, June 13. General Monier, in command of the French troops, occupied Mequinez on June 8, after fighting lasting for seven hours. The French lost one killed and five wounded, and the Moors lost 50 killed.
