PRO-GERMAN AGITATION. I PARIS, June 12. j The agitation in Bar-sur-Aube, against | the delimitation of the champagne area, . is assuming a pro-German character. The troops were mobbed whilst tearing down the German flag, which had been hoisted on the Town Hall at Baroville. Pro-German inscriptions are displayed in other villages. I
The French Government decides, on the recommendation of M. Chas. Blanc, of the agricultural and commerce section of the Council of State, that Bar-sur-Aube and Bar-stir-Seine should be reincluded in the champagne area, thus enabling their products to be designated champagne. On the other hand, with a view to satisfying the champagne region as recently delimited. M. Blanc recommended that the principal Marne vintages should be described as products of Grand Champagne, and that the wines of the whole enlarged area should be used without restriction for the purpose of admixture.
