SLAUGHTERED CHINESE.
THE MEXICAN MASSACRE. INDEMNITY DEMANDED. CHINA SENDS A WARSHIP. (By Cable.—Press Association.—-Copyright) MEXICO CITY, June 10. Reports from El Paso state, that an order has been issued for the deportation of 300 Chinamen from Mexico. It is believed that the Chinese in question attempted to gain entrance to the United .States. The Chinese Government is demanding an indemnity of 12,000.000 pesos in consequence of the slaughter of 300 Chinese subjects at Torreon in the Coahuila province some weeks ago. China also demands an apology. A warship is en route for Mexican waters. The Federal troops abandoned Torreon without giving notice, and the ruffian element broke loose and started to massacre the Chinese. The incoming rebels aided them. Heads were rolled along the streets, bodies were tied to horses' tails, and 25 victims were murdered at the Chinese bank. The intervention of the foreigners in the town stayed the slaughter.
