Butter.—Rather more inquiry. Total Imports into United Kingdom for week ending Saturday last, lOS.OOOcwt: tor corresponding period last year. 79,000cwt. Copenhagen official quotation is 2 kroners nicher. We quote: Danish butter, at 111/: finest Australian, salted at 92/. unsalted at 100/: pood to fine, from SS/ to 94/; inferior, from SO/ to SV.
Cheese.—Held firmly. Moderate demand. Prices, from 56/ to 57/.
Melbourne first grade batter Is offering at about 13id per lb. landed duty paid Wellington; and Sydney first grade at about 123 d, landed duty paid Auckland: so that there is not much room for a further advance in New Zealand.

Hides.—Market firm. TTe quote: Extra stout ox to 7ild, stout 6£d to 7d. medium 6}d to 6Jd. light s}d to 64d: cow, best lines to 6d, good sld to 5Jd. seconds 5d to 54d: stags 41d to 4Jd: kips. fWd to 6+d: calf, best to B*d, good 7d to 7*d; cut and damaged 3Jd to s<l.
Sheepskins.—-Market firm. Best butchers' skins 4/ to 4/6, pood 3/ to 3/S: dry skins, large to 7/6, medium 4/6 to 3/6, small 2/ to 2/s.
Tallow. —Market firm. Best mixed, in shipment casks, 2S/; good, 26/6; medium, 23/0. Miscellaneous. —Rongh fat, 13d to l|rt: cowtails, 1/S per dozen; horsehair. 1/4 to 1/6 per lb: bones, good dry £4 15/ to £4 17/6 per ton.

At Ohanpo, on Tuesday, 6th iDst., we submitted 540 head of catle. also sheep, and all were required; cattle of all classes selling at unproved prices.
